PM Narendra Modi is currently on a two- day visit to Russia where he met the Russian President Vladimir Putin. He took a tour of the Zvezda shipbuilding complex on the first day of his two-day visit to Russia.
Why Is PM Modi In Russia?
Prime Minister Modi landed in the Russian city of Vladivostok around 4:30 am(IST). Narendra Modi is currently in Russia as the chief guest of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum. PM Modi will also be seen taking part in the 20th India-Russia Annual Summit and hold bilateral talks with President Vladimir Putin.
Soon after his departure on Vladivostok, PM Narendra Modi said that his visit to the far-east region of Russia is the first by any Indian prime minister.
He also stated that the visit underlines the desire of India and Russia to diversify and also strengthen the bonds between the two countries. He also talked about strengthening the bonds of our bilateral relations.
What Happened In Russia?
India and Russia have currently exchanged 25 agreements in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
PM Modi will also be honoured with Russia’s highest civilian award.
During the joint address of Russian President Vlamadir and Prime Minister Modi at the Eastern Economic Forum, Narendra Modi signified the strong friendship between the two countries and also stated that Russia is an “integral friend and a trustworthy partner.”
He also said that passing time has only strengthened the bond between the two countries and it will continue to grow further.
