The trailer for the movie Pati Patni aur Woh has finally been released today. The movie consists of an interesting and new pairing. It has Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday as the protagonists.
A remake of the 1978 comedy movie of the same name, Pati Patni aur Woh is directed by Mudassar Aziz. Kartik Aryan can be seen in the trailer portraying a role much different from the ones he had done in the previous – a regular 9-5 working man with a simple lifestyle.
It takes you briefly into the life of Chintu Tyagi, an everyday man who has a lot of hopes and wishes for the future. Chintu, played by Kartik, is a very subtle and rebellious character. He is married to Vedika, played by Bhumi.
The marriage between the two seems like a traditional and normal one without much drama in it. But the actual thrill starts when a third party comes into their lives.
The third person here is Tapasyaa played by Ananya Pandey – a young, modern and independent girl. She becomes the cause of the upheaval in the couple’s married life as Chintu’s world starts to revolve around her. Chintu’s life’s tragedy and miseries become the core of comedy.
If one talks about the character of Tapasyaa, she seems like a bold, glamorous and a liberated soul. She is the personal secretary of Chintu. She creates a slight distinction between his wife and herself.
The love triangle thereby becomes the base for the comedy of errors. The character of Chintu is torn between his wife and the mistress. The rest of the trailer follows an typical cat and mouse chase of a married man by his wife and his lover.
The plot of the movie is definitely not something out of the box. Therefore, it would be interesting to see in what all ways they have tried to put forth the same comedy so as to make it different and still enjoyable.
With that being out, the trailer indeed has some funny one-liners to tickle your funny bones. Like any other trailer, this one too does not go much into details of any characters and keeps you in anticipation of it. The character of Bhumi is also much similar to that of in the movie, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Now, coming to one of the most significant parts of any movie, the songs. The soundtrack of the movie, as shown in the trailer is an amalgam of remixes. From Govinda’s Akhiyon Se Goli Maare to Tony Kakkar’s Dheeme Dheeme; these remixes have indeed made everyone groove to the beat and are promising to be the next chartbusters.
